Current Opening - Executive Director

We are seeking a skilled local leader to work with a talented staff – focused on research, convening, and advocacy to help achieve community resilience.

Thrive’s mission is to collaborate with local residents and leaders from diverse perspectives to understand our city’s challenges, forge new relationships, and act on the best solutions together.

Position Summary:

The Executive Director will be a community thought-leader through ongoing engagement in research, analysis, and leadership-level relationship-building. With a clear understanding of the community’s challenges, and a vision of attainable solutions, the Executive Director will be a respected communicator that successfully mobilizes support for Thrive Asheville. The Executive Director will build strategic partnerships and raise funds to ensure impact on our most pressing challenges. The Executive Director will have a designated administrative assistant, as well as a communications professional and two program staff on the organizational team.

Salary and Benefits: 

Salary range: $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience, discretionary health and wellness stipend $7,200/annually, full-time flexible, hybrid work schedule and location, 10 established holidays and 18 discretionary paid-days off (more than 5 weeks paid time off annually), five days sick leave annually; accrues up to 15 days.
